Mother’s Day Offering

May 4, 2009

For over 118 years, the network of Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes have served children and families in crisis.  Many kids in the TBCH ministry come out of homes full of neglect, abuse, or abandonment.  Through TBCH, they find protection, value, and a stable environment where they can grow, prosper, and see the gospel lived out daily.

A recent tradition at Concord has been to honor our mothers by giving to the TBCH Mother’s Day Offering.  35% of their annual budget comes from this collection.  You can read more about the ministry of TBCH at their website.

We missed getting the word out in the last Chronicle, so we’re putting the blog to work.  On Sunday morning, May 10, please bring a gift designated for the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Homes in honor of your mother. We will accept contributions for the Mother’s Day Offering throughout the month of May.  Let’s make the most of this opportunity to bless an important ministry.
