The Power and Wisdom of God

Plywood-Covered Cross in Mojave Desert

There is a cross underneath the plywood in this picture.  The ACLU found the cross offensive and, with the ruling of a judge, had the cross covered.

Don’t let this happen in your heart this Easter.

There is no greater cleavage between faith and unbelief than in their respective attitudes to the cross.  Where faith sees glory, unbelief sees only disgrace.  (John Stott, The Cross of Christ, 40)

We preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.  (1 Corinthians 1:25)

One Response to “The Power and Wisdom of God”

  1. When I think of the price of my salvation I cannot comprehend such love. I thank God that the cross is still in my vision and can’t be covered up.
